GLS Campus Berlin: Accessibility statement
Here you will first find information on accessibility for guests, followed by the official statement on the accessibility of our services. nbsp;
1. Accessibility of our GLS campus for our customers:
We want all our guests to feel comfortable – including people with limited mobility. Our premises offer barrier-free access in many areas, although there are some restrictions in certain places due to the historic nature of the building.
Access to the building
The main entrance is easily accessible via a brick ramp. In general, the campus has brick paths and ramps, making the entire outdoor area accessible.
Barrier-free areas on the GLS Campus
Thanks to the barrier-free grounds and lifts in several buildings, the following areas of the GLS Campus Berlin are accessible:
Event spaces at GLS Campus Berlin:
The GLS Campus has barrier-free event spaces. Our lounge and auditorium – both suitable for larger workshops and conferences – are located on the ground floor with direct access to the garden and are barrier-free. There are also seminar rooms on the ground floor that are accessible for wheelchair users. However, not all of our seminar rooms are wheelchair accessible, so please contact us before booking workshop rooms so that we can plan the ideal room layout together.
Event spaces at Hotel Oderberger:
The main entrance of Hotel Oderberger is not accessible, as we are not permitted to install a lift or ramp for reasons of historical preservation.
Barrier-free access is possible via a platform lift on the side of the building (former women’s wing). The reception has the appropriate key and will be happy to accompany our guests personally to the lift. For prams or suitcases, the small ramp from the main entrance to the foyer can be used. All other event rooms in the Hotel Oderberger are accessible by lift. However, we kindly ask you to speak to our team in advance so that we can find the best possible solution.
Deli & canteen:
The deli on the ground floor, directly adjacent to the lobby, is wheelchair accessible. A disabled toilet is located directly opposite. The canteen in the basement is not accessible.
For guests with visual impairments
– A reading aid with lighting (magnifying glass) is available at reception.
– In all lifts in the Hotel Oderberger, the buttons are highlighted and the numbers can be felt.
If you have any questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our events team – we are here to help!
